Outstanding dental center!
I found Bluffton Center for dentistry by accident when I used google to search for the #1 dentist in the area. Google was not wrong, although I'd say based on my experience, this dental center is in the top % of dental centers across the USA. The team at this office are exceptional, from the outstanding skills of Dr Porcelli and his technical assistants to the front office team, they all demonstrate a consideration for patient health and well-being that I have never experienced at any other medical or dental facility.
The holistic "head to toe" approach of the team is amazing - I had a full consultation with Dr Danenberg and following his reset plan was able to identify inflammatory markers in my diet which were causing me major health issues, not just with my mouth area. Dr Porcelli then reviewed my medical history in detail and was able to identify a source of infection that had eluded multiple dentists across 3 continents for the last 12 years and remove it.
One of the most remarkable things about this place is how they really listen - this sounds so simple but it makes a huge difference.
Dr Porcelli's cosmetic dentistry skills are exceptional - he is worth traveling across the country to be in his care and the care of his associated team - I wouldn't trust my dental care to any other team and am traveling from FL to SC regularly now as part of a plan to address my dental needs. Bluffton Center for Dentistry gave me a reason to smile again after a decade of pain and associated health complications - I am so thankful I found them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Emma-
Thank you for your kind words, it warms our hearts! We are happy to have patients like you as part of our family!
Best,
Dr. Porcelli and his team - Lianna A.Evanston, IL01Oct 10, 2023
Dr. Porcelli and his staff are always so kind and helpful. I'm a college student, and have been a patient of his since I was 17; I had severe jaw issues due to having braces too early, and Dr. Porcelli not only helped me begin to heal, but found an orthodontist closer to where I lived who had the same training to help me heal while I was home. His connections allowed me to have treatment no matter where I am, and the treatment options he recommended were realistic for my lifestyle as a high schooler at the time. I'm still a patient of his now, and can say nothing but great things about him and his staff. I always feel comfortable in the office and look forward to seeing them again!

Where does one even begin to rave about a place, a business, an office that has changed my life. I have just completed a very complicated treatment. I flew in four separate times from California because after a lot of research, I knew Dr. Porcelli was the one I could trust to be patient, immaculate, and impeccable with his work. And sure enough, I was right. I know I have already written a review, but I absolutely felt I needed to follow up after the completion of my work. Again, his staff is unbelievably hard-working. They are all incredibly invested in each patient and really know/understand each individuals needs. Dr. Porcelli's wife, Alina, manages the practice, and is seasoned in all things dentistry and health. She is an absolute star as far as I'm concerned. Your happiness is their primary concern and they absolutely guarantee it.
If you're seeking a veteran cosmetic dentist, whose professionalism goes beyond just dentistry, but rather, overall health and wellness, look no further. If you're looking for a place whose staff will all know you by name and will greet you with warmth and familiarity, please, please call this office.
Thank you to everyone at the Biological Center for Dentistry! Pure excellence all around.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0May 12, 2022Previous reviewDr. Porcelli is one of the most dedicated dentists in his field. He is committed to excellence. He is constantly striving to not only achieve aesthetic perfection, but to ensure that his patient is comfortable and happy with the results. I have been a patient of his since I lived in New York where he opened his first practice. Since then, I moved to Los Angeles, and I still fly across the country to see him. He performed a complex case on me after I suffered a surfing accident that knocked out a lot of my teeth in 2007. I was mortified with my appearance after the accident and Dr. Porcelli performed a life altering treatment on me. He not only restored my teeth, but along with that, my confidence. I am currently undergoing an upgrade on my crowns and am flying in to see Dr. Porcelli for this treatment. It is hard to find the words to demonstrate my gratitude towards him and his incredibly kind, hard working staff. His team is unmatched; patient, kind, compassionate. Also, highly skilled and dedicated to providing top tier service. Their office morale always exudes joy. The sort of energy that welcomes you in and makes you feel like you're visiting your family. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I want to honor Dr. Porcelli and his team because they have given me countless hours of their dedication and the least I could do is give them a few minutes of mine.

I've never been one to happily go to the dentist- after some previous bad experiences, I hadn't been to able find a dentist that I trusted or felt like they had my best interest in mind. Since I was well overdue for a checkup, I had to make the dreaded decision that it was time. I had already called a few other places in the area and was not impressed with the service I received, so refused to go through with an appt. Then I heard about Dr. P and Bluffton Center for Dentistry- despite them being out of network with my insurance, I gave them a call. I was thoroughly impressed with the front desk staff, ease of making an appt that worked with my schedule, and the ability to have questions answered over the phone. I went through with my appt!! I was SO nervous when I arrived, blood pressure through the roof! The dental hygienist cleaning my teeth took almost an hour to do a thorough and complete cleaning/ check. Then I met Dr. P! He's charismatic, kind, relatable and instilled confidence in me immediately. He took his time in doing my dental exam and spent time just chatting with me, to get to know me as a person. I had such a positive experience that I'm actually looking forward to my 6mo cleaning!! I recently moved and will likely drive back from Florida, just to see Dr. P! I went from being terrified/ extremely anxious to being excited to go back!
Additionally, they use the latest and best treatments available. This is where you want to go for your dental care!! I couldn't recommend Dr. P and Bluffton Center for Dentistry more! Thank you Dr. Porcelli!! We're lucky to have you in our community!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emily L.Grants Pass, OR01Oct 11, 2016
I recently went here for a cleaning, and had the best care I've ever had. The hygienist, Laura, was extremely thorough, but also very gentle so that I never had any pain. She answered questions I had about my teeth with clear explanations, and I left feeling very taken care of. Thanks!

I hate to write bad reviews but I have to lay it on the line about Bluffton Dentistry since I am beyond disappointed with them. Yes, everyone is nice and courteous but please take note of these points before you go and see them. To begin with, I have had two teeth cleanings with them and each time I went, I felt like I was back in grade school with the teacher reprimanding me for not handing in my homework on time. I told them that I only wanted yearly cleanings since my Soni-care and thrice daily teeth brushings have left my teeth healthy. This has been my schedule from the last two dentists I went to after moving over the past five years. There is no need to have 6 month cleanings unless they want more money and you don't mind paying it. That brings up the second point. I was told I needed a new crown because Dr Porcelli couldn't find the solution to the problem on my tooth. It was painful to chew. So I obliged (for $1200) and had the crown done....only to continue having pain. His solution was to shave my teeth down (three times to be exact) so now I have food that is constantly getting caught in the shaved areas. I really had had it since I was told that they were going to cap another tooth since it must be a fissure on the other tooth causing me the pain. At that point, I went to Angie's List (believe it or not) and called Towne Center Dentistry in Pooler. yes, it's a bit of a drive but I am glad I did. I soon found out the there are quotas for groups like Bluffton Center for Dentistry and private businesses operate differently. I paid less for my initial xrays and cleaning and, lo and behold, they solved the problem with a simple filling....after everything I went through BCFD. So, think about this before you make your appointment and really do your homework.

I am a sensitive person and I feel pain when someone has had a bad experience in my office. I try to treat all of my patients like family and our mission as a private practice is to treat all patients as we would treat ourselves. I am very sorry that our office has left a bad impression on you and we appreciate your comment. Preventative Dentistry is what we feel truly helps our patients the most regarding the frequency of dental cleanings. We suggest a frequency that is based on each individual's needs-not an arbitrary schedule. I myself have four cleanings per year in conjunction with using Sonicare and Flossing Daily. As far as the dental treatment, I feel bad that you had an unpleasant experience. Dental diagnosis and treatment can have poor outcomes on occasion and further treatment or corrections are necessary to achieve a desired result. If you would like to meet with me personally to discuss any of your concerns, I will make myself available to you.
