Safe Amalgam/Silver Filling Removal Protocols
As your Oral Health Doctor, Dr. Glynn is aware that mercury vapor, dental infections, and TMJ (bite) problems can have a negative impact on oral and overall health. Because of these concerns, we focus on patient education and strive to remove mercury amalgam (silver) fillings in a safe way. For information about why it's important to use a mercury safe dentist, Click Here.
To accomplish this, we utilize safe & proven removal protocols based on recommendations of the International Association of Mercury Safe Dentists (IAMSD) and other prominent biological and holistic dental organizations. For more information about why we use safe protocols to remove amalgam fillings and an explanation of what they are, Click Here.
The IAOMT has developed rigorous standards for safely removing mercury amalgam dental fillings by reducing the unnecessary and excessive exposure to mercury released from these fillings. The IAOMT's recommendations are known as the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART).
At this time, Dr. Glynn is one of a small number of IAOMT members who qualifies as a SMART Certified IAOMT dentist. With the SMART designation you can be confident that he is fully qualified to safely remove mercury amalgam (silver) fillings.
