Dr. Katie Sino's 'Mercury Safe Dentist' office is located in Greenville, SC, 29607. She is mercury free (amalgam/silver filling free) and mercury safe and she is dedicated to the practice of health-based dentistry. Her goal is to treat her guests in the most healthy, caring, holistic way possible and to share information about dental wellness with her patients so that they can make educated decisions about their oral health. Safe Mercury Amalgam/Silver Filling Removal Protocols
As your Oral Health Doctor, Dr. Sino is aware that mercury vapor, dental infections, and TMJ (bite) problems can have a negative impact on oral and overall health. To accomplish this, we utilize removal protocols for safely removing amalgam fillings based on the recommendations of the International Association of Mercury Safe Dentists (IAMSD) and New Directions Dentistry (NDD), and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), which has set the standard for practicing mercury safe dentistry.

SMART Certified
The IAOMT has developed rigorous standards for safely removing mercury amalgam dental fillings by reducing the unnecessary and excessive exposure to mercury released from these fillings. The IAOMT's recommendations are known as the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART). 
At this time, Dr. Sino is one of a small number of IAOMT members who qualifies as a SMART Certified IAOMT dentist. With the SMART designation you can be confident that she is fully qualified to safely remove mercury amalgam (silver) fillings.
