About Our Mercury Safe Dental Practice
Dr. Joseph Sarkissian's "Mercury Safe Dentist" office is located in Glendale, CA. As a practitioner of mercury safe, biological dentistry, I follow the ancient principle of "FIRST DO NO HARM" (Primum non nocere). Following this principle, the patient comes first at our office and is evaluated and treated as a whole person rather than a set of teeth. Based on his whole body/biological approach to dentistry, Dr. Joseph Sarkissian understands that "you cannot be healthy without oral health".
As your Oral Health Doctor, Dr. Sarkissian is aware that mercury vapor and dental infections can have a negative impact on overall health. Dr. Sarkissian also takes a unique Whole Body approach to oral health care; combining sound dental science and technical experience with a deep concern for his patients' emotional well-being and comfort.
This Whole Body philosophy stresses the use of safe dental materials whenever possible. He also works closely with highly qualified health professionals to assist him in his efforts to return the patient to optimal oral and overall health. His Health-Focused approach to dentistry means that he treats the teeth, jaw, and related oral structures, with specific regard to how that treatment will affect the entire body.

About Dr. Sarkissian
Dr. Sarkissian studied microbiology at the University of Alabama. He then attended the dental school of the University of Goettingen in the former West Germany, where he graduated in 1989.
Over the next eight years he practiced dentistry on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. During that time he trained in homeopathy, completely abandoned the use of amalgam (mercury) fillings, and expanded his knowledge in the biological aspects of therapy.
In 1998, he moved to Los Angeles and received his license to practice in California. He currently owns a state-of-the-art biological dental practice in Glendale, California.

I know Dr. Sarkissian personally and consider him to be an exceptionally qualified holistic/biological dentist and a person of great integrity. He has had advanced post-graduate training in all aspects of mercury safe and biological dentistry.
